Discover Our Passion for Gardening
At Golden Hill Gardening our philosophy is Evolution not Revolution. I am a gentle gardener who loves plants and planting and enjoys nurturing a garden. I aim to work with your soil, to care for your existing plants and develop your planting further so that your garden reaches its fullest potential. I prefer to work sustainably using peat-free compost and organic practices where applicable. My aim is to work with nature and promote wildlife and biodiversity within your garden.

About me
I have been around gardening all my life and I have been working on my own gardens since 1998. For the last 4 years I have been working on a garden from scratch, redesigning new borders, planting trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants. I have also built custom raised beds and planters and designed their planting schemes.
I decided to leave my previous profession as a teacher and turn my passion into my career. In order to give my clients the best service I could, I enrolled at the University of Bristol Botanic Gardens to gain the RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles and Practices of Horticulture to ensure that my gardening follows best practice. I have gained further skills by volunteering at the National Trust.
My inspiration for gardening came from my father who was a self-employed gardener. My grandfather and great-grandfather were also professional gardeners. When my father found it too difficult to manage the garden on his own, I helped him with garden projects side by side. My father passed just after I started my RHS qualifications and I know he would be so pleased that I have now taken this step to become a full-time gardener myself.
